Petersfield in Bloom 2017
The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer, crocuses and daffodils are appearing all over the town, and it’s time once again to start thinking about how to make your flower beds, hanging baskets, retail frontage or containers beautiful for the spring and summer months.
Once again, we want to encourage you to become a part of making Petersfield one of the most beautiful and attractive places in the South Downs National Park.
Whether you enter to win or not, it would be great to have you as part of our Petersfield in Bloom 2017. Entry forms are now available from Petersfield Town Council at the Town Hall and at the Tourist Information Centre based in The Library in the square. Alternatively you can down a copy here by clicking on this link – Entry Form 2017.
Petersfield in Bloom is open to all Petersfield residents, and entry forms can be returned either to Petersfield Town Council or the Tourist Information Centre. The closing date for entries is Saturday 1st July and judging is taking place during the morning of Thursday 13th July.
There is a category for everyone to enter – whether it is a garden, a street, a retail front, hanging baskets, or containers, and whether you are a resident, a business, a school, a home, a public service building, or a youth group.
All entrants will be invited to a special Prize Giving Evening at the Rose Room, Festival Hall, on Thursday 5th October 2017, when Petersfield In Bloom’s President and TV gardening expert Pippa Greenwood, will present the trophies and certificates. Refreshments will also be served afterwards. There will also be a special presentation of the Jenny Turner Prize which recognises a special effort made in the town. No entry is required for this award.
Why not start today by planning and submitting your entry form, becoming part of this ever growing event in Petersfield.
