Peter has been based in the town with his family for over 35 years. With a PhD in agriculture he is now retired after a career in community development, mostly spent with his family in remote rural locations in Africa and the Middle East. This experience makes him very much aware of the unsung importance of local government and democratic institutions for the community and for everyone’s quality of life. Enhancing the environment is a key part of this. Peter is a governor at Herne Junior School, a Scout Leader with 1st Petersfield, and a trustee of the Petersfield Society.
