Our entertainment marquee was a hive of activity with upbeat tunes giving the dedicated rock ‘n’ rollers a unique opportunity to ‘strut their stuff!’ It was heart-warming to see the different age groups coming together and having good old-fashioned fun!
Petersfield celebrates in 1950's style
Petersfield Town Council are thrilled that our Platinum Jubilee Fete at the Avenue Pavilion was such a success! We continue to enjoy extremely positive feedback from residents, visitors and our councillors have expressed a desire to see more of this type of event in the future.
The jubilee celebration was a fantastic opportunity for local groups, clubs and societies to reintroduce themselves and showcase their presence in the community, as well as raising some well needed funds for their cause.
Stall holders were encouraged to enter into the spirit of the 1950’s and offer an interactive experience for children and families – and they did not disappoint! There were tombola’s and quizzes, crafting and dress-up. Petersfield Town Council would like to take this opportunity to thank those organisations who had clearly put a great deal of thought into their stalls.
It was lovely to see so many Petersfield residents enjoying themselves; brilliant weather and terrific occasion.
